I was reading about Kirtanananda Swami in "Killing For Krishna", a book by Henry Doktorski which details the murder case of Sulochana Das and the subsequent cover ups instigated by the Hare Krishna disciples in the book. I wanted to write from the perspective of the person who has stockholme syndrome, falling in love with a pathological liar and what it feels like to be enamoured by their charisma yet knowing that the are deliberately manipulating you. That interplay between submissive love and charismatic authority.
lyrics
Lying is good with a smile on his face
Aint no criminal but its
Persecution he claims
They protect him with lawyers
He preach to the choir
Gather more disciples
Light your enemies on fire
Charisma is beautiful
As you lie to their face
And he downplay the trauma
He’s playing word games
Instilling more guilt
As he act like a saint
He innocent and pure
Got no malice or hate
And he smile again
Like a narcissist friend
He loves us he cares
And he loves to pretend
We fall for your lies
As we need to believe
The suffering of life
Can for once be relieved
And you pat down our heads
As we bow down and pray
Its better to serve
And we’re better enslaved
Servants of God
Yes he says we are
Exploitation’s abound
But you’re so afar
A benevolent figure
A great patriarch
And our egos wither
As your ego grows large
So saintly our man
So holy we see
So humble and caring
In your
Hagiography
Then push come to shove
And he gotta make a way
He lovingly abuse
And he manipulate
We’re the flying monkeys
Doing his will
Sociopathic denial
Mentality instilled
Keep us under control
As we control the others
Abuse is systemic
In our family of brothers
Killing and maiming
Is right before God
The Bhagavad Gita and
Quran can’t be wrong
We’re good and their evil
We’re angels their demons
Whenever there is upheaval
We defeat all the heathens
Individual collective
And both of us infected
Swallow beautiful lies
Until we stand corrected
And those charisma eyes
They lovingly gaze
Into these humble minds
And we fall in a daze
Hypnotised by your “love”
These outsiders call hate
But we’re trapped in the mercy
In this immanent state
